Professional/Academic Experience

Currently a Professor of English at UNC, Emily Golson has worked as both a writing center and writing program director and chaired the first Department of Rhetoric and Composition in the Middle East, located at the American University in Cairo.

Research/Areas of Interest

Dr. Golson currently works in the area of global rhetoric and international writing programs.

Publications/Creative Works

In addition to co-editing a recent book entitled Negotiating a Meta-Pedagogy: Learning from other Disciplines (2009 ) (with Toni Glover), she has published over thirty articles, book chapters, and research reports in areas such as teaching first year and advanced composition, TA training, digital writing, writing assessment, and developing international writing programs.
