Center for Gifted and Talented

The purpose of the Center for the Education and Study of Gifted, Talented, Creative Learners at the University of Northern Colorado is to support and promote all aspects of gifted and talented education.

Psychological Services Clinic

UNC's Psychological Services Clinic provides counseling to couples, families, and individuals including children, adolescents and adults as well as play therapy and group therapy. 

Reading Center

The UNC Reading Center provides free reading tutoring to more than 60 children during the course of the year, with tutoring provided by UNC students who are taking EDRD 411. Tutoring is provided at both the UNC Reading Center on the 3rd floor of McKee Hall, and at Lago Vista Mobile Home Park.

Tointon Institute for Education Change

The Tointon Institute for Educational Change has been providing high quality leadership training to K-12 administrators throughout the state of Colorado since 1995.  

Colorado Center for Rural Education

The Colorado Center for Rural Education at UNC is to support the needs of rural educators in Colorado. The center is focused on locating, preparing and supporting effective educators in Colorado rural school districts.

Center for Urban Education

Located at UNC’s Denver Center at Lowry, the Center for Urban Education offers a Bachelor of Arts degree with or without teacher licensure in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and Specialist Education.
