The university’s December Commencement ceremonies will look a little different this year. UNC is hosting the university’s first ever virtual ceremony in accordance with public health guidelines that limit in-person gatherings.
As you look to the future, you’ll know that your time at UNC was well spent.
The memories and connections you made here will help carry you forward for the road ahead.
Each ceremony itself will be fully online. Remarks will be streamed the weekend of December 11-12 and student names will be displayed. Links for each virtual ceremony will be available here in December.

Each graduate will receive a commemorative gift prior to the ceremony.

Preparing to Graduate

- Fall graduates must apply for graduation to participate in the ceremony. The deadline for your name to appear in the program has passed, but the application is still open. Spring and summer graduates do not need to reapply.
- Order your regalia by 9:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 1 to receive it before the ceremony.
