Commencement Spring 2021

The University of Northern Colorado held its spring commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 8, and Sunday, May 9, at Nottingham Field with more than 1,900 expected graduates.

Joining this year’s graduates were approximately 200 of UNC’s 2020 graduates. Our most recent alumni, who were noted by their gold mortarboards during this year’s ceremonies, were invited to walk across the stage this year to receive their degrees.

The ceremonies were also live streamed to UNC's Social Media channels.

The Graduate School hosted a virtual doctoral hooding ceremony for doctoral candidates and invited research advisors and committee members to attend.

Faces of 2021 Graduates: Adapting to a New, Virtual Society

University of Northern Colorado students continued to adapt to an ever-changing world where the COVID-19 pandemic continued to sink its teeth into all areas of life including higher education. Seven of the around 1,900 undergraduate and graduate students who are graduating this spring and summer shared their stories before calling UNC their alma matter.
