Teaching Assistantships
The Educational Psychology Ph.D. program at UNC provides many opportunities for students to gain valuable experience in college teaching and fund their degree at the same time. Mentoring is provided for Teaching Assistants and we also offer a preparatory course: PSY 654, Seminar in College Teaching. This course is offered every Fall Semester. It is expected that individuals complete this course before teaching.
Each Spring Semester, the School of Psychological Sciences solicits applications and conducts interviews for TAs. Recommendations are made by a faculty committee for the following year.
Teaching Assistantship Applications are available early each spring semester at the School of Psychological Sciences office in McKee 14. Complete the form and return it to the administrative assistant.
