Assistant Vice President Lyndsey Crum '05 discusses careers and mentoring as part of UNC's recent alumni career panel on Women in Business.

Kandis Morrison was born and raised in Northern Colorado. As a first generation student, Kandis began her career working in the restaurant industry and graduated from Colorado State University in 2014 with a Bachelors in Business Management, with an Emphasis in Supply Chain, and a minor in Anthropology. After graduation, Kandis was hired by Enterprise Holdings as a Management Trainee in June of 2014. She quickly rose in the ranks to an Assistant Manager and then on to Branch Manager where she began operating her own business. After growing her location, increasing it's profitability, coaching and mentoring multiple reports, and supporting the local community, Enterprise Holdings tapped Kandis it grow its future workforce. For the past three years, Kandis has served as Talent Acquisition Specialist, and loves the opportunity to focus on employee development, build meaningful relationships in the community, and cultivate top talent for EH. She is frequently on campus as an active recruiter for her organization.

Terri Pederson '82 is a Colorado native and has a music degree from the University of Northern Colorado and an MBA from Colorado Technical University. Terri has worked as a freelance musician and played trumpet with several Denver based community orchestras. Terri’s career in the tech sector most recently includes 12 years as a Vice President at dpiX, LLC, the global leader in digital flat panel design and manufacturing for medical imaging. Terri's retirement in 2019 is dedicated to music, the arts, and fishing with her husband Kevin. Terri is a member of the KCME and Jazz 93.5 sales team where she works part time with local businesses and organizations. She also leads and plays trumpet with Tidal Breeze Jazz Arts, performing and promoting Jazz in the community, as well as serving on two music related non-profit boards.

Keri Pugh '97 is a Co-Founder and Wealth Advisor with Fusion Financial Group, an independent financial planning firm based in Denver, CO. Keri has over 20 years of experience in the industry, as both a financial advisor and Principal. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Northern Colorado and is an alumna with national sorority Delta Zeta. Keri holds a variety professional licenses, carries the esteemed mark of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), meeting rigorous education and experience requirements in key areas of financial planning, as well as the designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), a symbol of her dedication to upholding the fiduciary standard in all advisory relationships. Keri comes from a family legacy of financial service, and through her experiences working with advisors and clients alike, she saw the many benefits that sound investing, financial planning and coaching brought to people’s lives. Grounded in these experiences, she is passionate about helping people through the very important journey of planning for the future, by creating a framework for that future. Through a strong process, careful attention to each client’s needs, and a desire to both understand and empathize, Keri gives her clients confidence to make decisions and to find direction throughout their life journey.

Ashley Valenzuela-Ruesgen '11 is the director of human resources for United Site Services’ national headquarters. United Site Services is a national industry leader in commercial sanitation. She has industry experience in higher education, construction, and telecommunications. Her expertise is in workplace culture, workplace investigations, change management, and organizational leadership strategies. Ashley holds advanced degrees including a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Strategic Human Resources from Regis University in Denver, and a certification in Strategic Human Resources from Cornell University. In addition, Ashley is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources credentialed by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and is endorsed by the International Association of Interviewers (IAI) as a Certified Forensic Interviewer.
