Banner 8
UNC will adopt the newest version of Banner, version 8, in October 2009. Information Technology used input from functional units such as the Registrar, Admissions, Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Accounts Receivable and Financial Aid to determine the most appropriate time to go live with the new version. Prior to the October implementation date, a Banner 8 test environment will be developed and members of the functional units will be invited to test compatibility strengths and weaknesses of Banner 8. Efforts will be made to determine the impact of the upgrade across all Banner subsystems such as Residence Life, Dining, etc.
Potential enhancements for Banner 8 will be listed on this website in the future, as will more information about the conversion process. If you have any questions regarding the new version or would like to be a pilot member of the Test System so you can get hands-on experience with it and help IT identify the university’s needs regarding Banner 8, contact Banner8.feedback@unco.edu.
