M. Lucile Harrison Award
The M. Lucile Harrison Award is for a current "professional excellence" in teaching, scholarship and service. This award reflects a lifetime of achievement and recipients should be those recognized as outstanding teachers, respected scholars, and those who have been active in service
The intent of the award is to recognize a current faculty member with a long career of professional excellence. While outstanding teaching has always been a major factor in selecting the recipient of the Harrison Award, career achievements in professional activity and service are also essential components in the evaluation and recognition of an outstanding professor. It is these accomplishments which marked the career of M. Lucile Harrison.
The nomination should be in writing and submitted by colleagues or students. A nomination should include the nomination letter, two additional letters of support and a vita. After reviewing nominations, the committee will determine what additional evidence, if any, is appropriate. They will be responsible for gathering the information. It is especially important for nomination letters to address the candidates' teaching performance.
Nomination packets should be forwarded to Office of the Provost, Campus Box 9, or emailed to provost.office@unco.edu. Please contact the Office of the Provost at 1-2823 with any questions.
