2020 Student Research Celebration
In consideration for the safety of all students, faculty, staff, and community partners, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Student Research Celebration originally scheduled for April 9, 2020. This decision complies with recommendations set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment regarding COVID-19. You can keep up with all UNC-related COVID-19 communication and plans by visiting the UNC Coronavirus page.
Normally, the Natural and Health Science's Student Research Celebration occurs during the University’s Academic Excellence Week. The evening honors noteworthy research done by students and faculty mentors and showcases top undergraduate and graduate scholars selected by their programs, departments and schools. All donations received for the event go to benefit our College-wide Student Research Fund.
Student research remains important.
Once life returns to normal on our campus, our students will return to their research. New students will come to campus and present new research opportunities.
If you are wondering how you can still support the college in this difficult time, your donation toward the NHS Student Research Fund, which provides competitive funding to support student research and research-related travel, can be made on our support page.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding this decision, please feel free to email Becca Romine at rebbecca.romine@unco.edu.
