Leadership Enrichment Program

The Leadership Enrichment Program (LEP), for students entering 11th or 12th grade, is a residential program. Its focus is on understanding one's personal, unique gifts and talents, learning about leadership styles, and developing traits and characteristics of leadership.

Curriculum is developed and differentiated according to basic principles of gifted education, providing a unique opportunity for enrichment not ordinarily possible in regular classrooms. 

Session Schedule

  • July 7, 2019: Session Begins (Registration from 1 p.m. at Wilson Hall)
  • July 13, 2019: Super Saturday
  • July 16, 2019: Talent Show
  • July 18, 2019: Banquet
  • July 19, 2019: SEP Showcase
  • July 19, 2019: SEP Party/Dance
  • July 20, 2019: Check Out (by 9 a.m.)

Daily Schedule

Students will participate in a leadership seminar each morning. Third period is spent assisting a teacher in the Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) class of their choice for students ages 10 to 15. The final period of each day will be spent in debriefing the day's activities and working on special LEP activities. In the evenings, LEP participants will help counselors provide options for SEP students. 

Costs

The cost per session includes housing, food, tuition, dormitory counselors, and teaching staff. A $100 registration fee must accompany all applications. This fee will be applied to the LEP tuition. The total cost of LEP is $1795.00.
