We’ve seen a steady increase of COVD-19 cases at the state and local community levels. The pandemic continues to cause much uncertainty, and as noted in President Andy Feinstein’s message yesterday, November 12, 2020, the university has given careful consideration to course delivery post-Thanksgiving, from November 30 through December 11.

The 2020 General Election is in full swing here in Colorado. We in the Dean of Students Office want to encourage your full participation in the democratic process and understand that engaging in civil discourse and navigating this political climate presents both opportunities and stressors for each of us.

Much has changed since the spring semester—we have had to rethink how we engage as members of the UNC community in almost every aspect. As we progress through the semester, we want to encourage you again to think about how the choices you make can uplift each other and support the health and wel-being of every Bear and those closest to them.

We acknowledge the impacts of the wildfires burning across our state, and we have many faculty, staff, students, and families in those areas directly affected by these fires. As these fires continue to spread rapidly, many UNC community members and families have had to evacuate. We’re concerned about our Bear community’s wellbeing and mental health and would like to offer some support and assistance.
