FY 17 Pay Increase Update

On Friday, the Board of Trustees approved our FY 17 budget that included a 3% pool for exempt salary increases.  Two percent (approximately $750,000) will be distributed to all exempt employees as a maintenance of effort increase.  During this fiscal year we completed the exempt banding project which helped us to establish pay bands for each of our exempt positions. This project identified employees who are being paid below the minimum of their pay band for their position. The remaining one percent (approximately $250,000) will be distributed to bring employees below minimum up to the minimum over time.  There will be a cap of a 10% increase in any given year while we work to bring all positions to the minimum of the range.

Letters with individual pay increase will be distributed as usual in July with the new pay rate effective in the July 31st pay check.  Thanks again to our Board and University Leadership for the ongoing commitment to salary increases.
