Scholarships & Grants
To be eligible for PASC Development and Scholarship awards, staff must complete the UNC Scholarship Application by the designated deadline. For staff enrolled at the University of Northern Colorado, awards will be processed through the Office of Financial Aid. Funds will first be applied to the staff's university account, and any remaining funds will be refunded as applicable. Staff attending other institutions will have their awards processed through the Accounting Office.

Exempt UNC employee working at least 0.5 FTE
Previous awardees must wait one fiscal year to reapply

PASC Book Scholarship
PASC Book Scholarships offset exempt employees’ educational expenses.
Funding Cycles & Application Deadlines:
October 15th (or nearest workday)
March 15th (or nearest workday)
Funding Restrictions:
- Each applicant may request up to up to $200 per fiscal year
- Eligible expenses include textbooks and professional exam review materials
- The anticipated number of awards will vary, based on the volume of complete applications received and the sum of amounts requested
- PASC reserves the right to request paid receipt(s) for any expenses for which applicant requests funding
- If applicant requests more than the funding limit, the application will not be considered
- Tuition reimbursement is not allowed
Review/Decision:
- This is a book reimbursement scholarship; applicant will be required to purchase the book upfront
- Applications must follow the required format and conform to the guidelines to be considered
- Submission of an application does not guarantee any funding to the applicant
- Applicants can be considered for either a book scholarship OR a professional development grant in each fiscal year
- Enrollment in a degree-seeking program or enrollment for course credit is not required but will receive a preference
- Applicants will be notified of a decision a month after the deadline

PASC Professional Development Grant
PASC Professional Development Grants offset exempt employees’ expenses for professional development opportunities.

Funding Restrictions:
- Each applicant may request up to $250 per year
- Eligible expenses include:
- Conference registrations
- Webinar registrations
- Certificate training costs
- Professional exam preparation course fees
- Professional exam sitting fees
- Professional membership dues
- The anticipated number of awards will vary based on the volume of complete applications received and the sum of amounts requested
- PASC reserves the right to request paid receipt(s) via email for any expenses for which applicant requests funding
Review/Decision:
- Applications must follow the required format and conform to the guidelines to be considered
- Applications must include a letter of support from the applicant’s supervisor, which must be attached to the application form
- Submission of an application does not guarantee any funding to the applicant
- Applicants can be considered for either a book scholarship OR a professional development grant in each fiscal year
- Enrollment in a degree-seeking program or enrollment for course credit is not required but will receive a preference
- Applicants will be notified of a decision a month after the deadline
