You can now text crime tips to UNC Police using the Guardian App. In order for you to be able to log in to the Guardian app you must be a staff member or active student and must have your correct phone number added to the emergency alert section of your URSA account. (it may take up to 24 hours for the system to receive your phone number after adding it to your URSA).

You can download the Guardian App from the App Store or Google Play.

If you are a visitor to campus or are unable to download the Guardian app you can still text a tip to UNC Police. Just open a new text to 226787 and start your message with UNCPD and add your tip after. Example message to 226787: UNCPD there is some vandalism on the north side of the UC.

The State of Colorado operates a state wide anonymous crime reporting system Safe2Tell. when making a report through the Safe2Tell system all of your identifying info will be removed by Safe2Tell staff and your report will be forwarded to your local law enforcement agency. When using the Safe2Tell reporting system your anonymity is protected by Colorado law (C.R.S Section 24-31-601 et seq.).

The University of Northern Colorado also provides anonymous crime reporting available through a service called MySafeCampus. Information on this service is available at My Safe Campus. MySafeCampus is not an emergency service - if there is an emergency, contact the Police Department for immediate help.
