Dr. Bywater-Reyes and collaborators are studying river restoration and management along the Cache la Poudre River from Fort Collins to Greeley, CO. She uses drone imagery to create 3D models of the sites and studies how sediment, channel form, and riparian vegetation is impacted by different restoration and management strategies. Check out all the sites with this tour. Her research has been funded by UNC funds and the Cache la Poudre National Heritage Area. One question is how water quality is affected by these different strategies.
