IDD Webinars & Consultations
Instructional Design and Development (IDD) now offers all workshops and consultations online. IDD’s work is often done online, even when we are working face-to-face, and so using Zoom and Teams to meet with faculty allows for uninterrupted service for UNC faculty. We will continue offering webinars and consultation in real-time using our shared course delivery tools.
IDD’s education and support focus is not purely technical, answering “How do I use Canvas?” - and not purely pedagogical, answering questions like “How do I analyze the effectiveness of my quiz questions?” IDD provides support and consultation to our faculty working in the space between the purely technical and the purely pedagogical about how to make the best use of educational technology to meet teaching and learning goals and outcomes. With more faculty moving courses into the online teaching and learning environment, IDD is also working with faculty on how to implement the best teaching practices for teaching online.
The following webinars (and more as needed) will be available during the 2020-21 academic calendar year:
- Canvas Gradebook Basics
- Canvas Gradebook Management
- Using Zoom
- Using Panopto
- Using UNC’s Online Classroom Template
- Asynchronous Teaching and Learning (open forum)
- Synchronous Teaching and Learning (open forum)
- Student Engagement Tips and Tricks - Escape Room (coming soon!)
In addition to attending our webinars faculty may sign up for individual and group consultations by completing this request form:
