About you

UNC was my first choice when exploring graduate schools. A special feature my program offers is the ability to give students the chance for hands-on experience early on in the program by working in the Audiology clinic and helping patients within our community.

My program was welcoming from my first interaction. I am honored to be working along side the faculty that makes up my department and have the chance to learn from them and their research. My cohort has also made my experience special. Being surrounded by people with the same passion is so motivating and brings excitement to our futures.

Where would you give at UNC?

I would donate to the UNC Speech and Audiology clinic. The clinic is open to everyone, and the speech department does an amazing job. They see kiddos with speech delays and help them get on track with their classmates, as well adults who may have suffered a stroke that resulted in a speech disorder. The audiology department conducts hearing evaluations and has the education and technology to fit a person with amplification to help them better communicate with their loved ones.
