Services
The Psychological Services Clinic provides affordable counseling and testing services for children, teens, and adults. We offer individual counseling, play therapy, group therapy, and support for couples and families. Our clinic is a safe, caring space where you can talk openly and get the help you need.
About Our Services
We provide in-person sessions at our clinic in McKee Hall on the UNC Greeley campus. Clients meet weekly with a counselor-in-training for 45–50 minutes, typically over 6–14 weeks. Sessions occur at the same time each week throughout the semester. Counseling fees are typically $75 for the entirety of the semester. We strive to make our services accessible to everyone and will work with clients to ensure financial barriers do not prevent care. Payments can be made securely online by credit or debit card through our secure payment system.
Individual Counseling
Clients work one-on-one with a counselor-in-training to address a variety of concerns. The counseling process is collaborative to help create and achieve treatment goals.
Child & Adolescent Counseling
We offer specialized counseling services for children and adolescents. Our counselors create a safe, open space for children and teens to express themselves and work toward their goals.
Play Therapy
For children aged 2-12, we offer play therapy. This is a special type of counseling where kids can express their thoughts and feelings through play. Play therapy helps children learn to manage emotions, make decisions, and control their behavior. We also schedule regular parent consultations to involve families in the process.
Couples Counseling
Couples counseling is available for any couple looking to strengthen their relationship. We provide support on issues like communication, intimacy, life changes, and more. Our clinic is LGBTQ+-affirming, and we welcome all couples seeking help.
Family Therapy
Family therapy is available for nuclear, blended, or extended families. We address concerns such as communication, emotional expression, parenting, grief, boundaries, and family roles. Therapy helps families improve their relationships and work through challenges together.
Important Notice: Due to Colorado law, we cannot provide services to couples or families with members who are engaging in or at risk of domestic violence. We can refer you to local resources specializing in these cases. Please contact us for more information.

Cost of Assessment Services
The cost for comprehensive psychoeducational, personality, learning, and developmental assessments starts at $750. Additional assessments are available at $50 each. Payment can be made securely through our online payment portal.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is a place where you can talk openly and honestly with others who may be going through similar challenges. Each group is different and may focus on things like relationship issues, academic stress, or other personal struggles.
Group therapy sessions last 50-80 minutes. Groups meet once a week for about 8-12 weeks during the semester. Group sessions are free and may be available to both students and community members, depending on the semester.
Before joining a group, you’ll need to attend a 20-minute group evaluation to talk with the counselors-in-training who run the groups. These evaluations are usually held at the start of the semester and can be scheduled by calling the PSC office at 970-351-1645.
