Biography

My name is Katie Nelson and I am a senior geology major with a minor in physics. I grew up around Colorado, my parents now living in Canon City, and I have them to thank for everything. After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado, I have plans to attend graduate school and pursue a degree in volcanology. I hope to become a professor, be able to do research, and have the opportunity to use what I have learned to help areas effected by volcanic eruptions to recover. Along with science, music has always been a passion of mine. ​
