Things You Might Not Know About Greeley

According to the 2022 census data report, Greeley ranked number 8 in top 15 US cities with the best quality of life. 

Restaurants and eateries range in cuisine from Mexican to African, with local favorites like an authentic French bakery right next to campus and a pizza place that’s served Bears for more than 30 years.  

Enjoy eight award-winning microbreweries, two distilleries and several artisan coffeehouses.  

A Creative District draws artists, events and performers for hundreds of performances annually – and has close ties to UNC, helping our students find a creative home too. 

Skate or spectate at the Greeley Ice Haus. This ice rink is a short walk from campus for lessons and skate time, and it’s and a great place to watch the Bears play hockey.  

Greeley’s year-round Farmers' Market was voted #1 in Colorado and #7 in the Southwest as part of the 2021 America's Farmers Market Celebration. 

Our hometown offers more than 300 acres of neighborhood parks at 40-plus locations and a 21-mile Poudre Trail gives you plenty of space to bike, run or walk along the Cache la Poudre River. Add in the ranges and mountaintops of Rocky Mountain National Park and 200,000 acres of Pawnee National Grassland, and you’ll understand why the sky is the limit with outdoor opportunities.

Still looking for ways to play? Greeley’s Family FunPlex offerings include an indoor waterpark, 18-hole mini golf course, fitness center, sport court for inline hockey, softball fields and an outdoor amphitheater. 

Denver’s world-class nightlife, arts scene and culture (as well as Denver International Airport) and the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre are all within an hour or two of drive time.
