INTERNSHIP PROGRAM ADMISSIONS
Briefly describe in narrative form important information to assist potential applicants in assessing their likely fit with your program. This description must be consistent with the program's policies on intern selection and practicum and academic preparation requirements:
Applicants must be enrolled in an APA-Accredited graduate program in clinical or counseling psychology. Applicants must be in good academic standing with their academic program and must have successfully passed comprehensive exams by the application deadline. Prior to the start of the internship year, interns are required to have completed all coursework and defended their dissertation proposal. We are looking for individuals who are culturally-sensitive, flexible, motivated, eager to learn and grow and share our passion for working with a diverse college population. Successful applicants have prior college counseling experience and have interest in broadening their clinical skills and knowledge in providing outreach, consultation, supervision, and individual and group counseling services. Interns who match to our program must successfully complete a background check.

Bear Card & Parking: Interns receive as staff I.D. card which allows them to use the UNC library. Interns are also permitted to purchase a faculty/staff parking permit which allows for parking adjacent to Cassidy Hall. Free on-street parking is also available near the counseling center.
Office Space: The center provides interns with a private, fully-furnished office. Each office is equipped with a computer with word processing, electronic mail capabilities and the Titanium scheuduling package. Web cams are installed in each trainee office to allow for digital recording of sessions.
