Montgomery GI Bill

The Montgomery GI Bill - Active Duty (MGIB-AD) is the "old" GI Bill that was offered before the Post 9/11 GI Bill was created. It provides a flat monthly payment (instead of a percentage) of up to 36 months of education benefits to eligible veterans. Eligible members may wish to transfer their MGIB-AD to the Post 9/11.  They must meet the criteria for the Post 9/11 GI Bill and fill out the VA 22-1995 in VONAPP. Students can only transfer once.
