Student Leaf Representatives
Max is a Journalism and Strategic Communication Major in his junior year here at UNC. He is from Highland Maryland located midway between Washington DC and Baltimore. Max enjoys participating in and grew up playing sports like Lacrosse and used to participate in division three athletics. He also enjoys sports like football, hockey, basketball, etc. When he’s not playing sports Max enjoy hiking, snowboarding, writing, and playing video games. He is extremely Excited to join this organization full of energy and ideas, and even more excited to expand the LEAF community. Max seeks to not only spread the word of Student LEAF but to engrain sustainability into our campus culture. Go UNC. Go Bears.
Emmy is a second year environmental studies major and a first year committee member serving the position of grant coordinator. Emmy also plans to double major in communications and minor in economics. Her life goal is to flip the world of business on its head by helping large corporations convert to sustainable business practices. Emmy Scott was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona but fell in love with Colorado. Now she is focused on her school work, Student LEAF and is president of another UNC club called Earth Guardians (they are environmental activist who plan educational/ exciting events on campus and in the community). You might catch Emmy on campus hand feeding the squirrels (even though she knows she shouldn’t) or at an Earth Guardians event rallying for environmental justice, either way feel free to approach her with any question or concerns about the clubs/environment or just to say hi!
