PSI Project: An OSEP Grant

Patty Gordon, CI/CT, NIC-A, EIPA is a freelance interpreter, interpreter educator, mentor and consultant  working out of Minneapolis, MN. Over the past 35 years, she has taught classes, workshops and online for St. Catherine University, The University of Northern Colorado, Western Oregon University, the CATIE Center, RISP and TASK 12. She has designed and presented workshops on mentoring, ASL Linguistics, performing arts interpreting, and the EIPA online and at local and national conferences throughout the US. She has been a consultant and trainer for school districts in establishing mentoring programs for newly hired interpreters. She is the co-author of "The Mentor's Companion: A Practical Guide to Mentoring" (RID, 2007). Her current  interpreting work is focused on healthcare, government settings and performing arts. Along with her Master's in Liberal Studies, she holds certificates in Teaching ASL and Interpreting and from the Master Mentor program at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
