Induction-Mentorship Experience Lead

PSI Project: An OSEP Grant

Kelli Stein, M.Ed., CI, CT, has been interpreting since 1993, when after graduating from an interpreting program, she moved from Washington State to Washington, DC. There she discovered a robust and challenging interpreting environment and a community of colleagues whose work continues to inspire her. Her freelance practice involves a wide range of settings and consumer partners.

Beginning in 2004, Kelli has taught interpreting at the University of Northern Colorado, Gallaudet University, and the Community College of Baltimore County. Along the way she earned a master’s degree in adult learning, specializing in interpreter pedagogy.  Kelli enjoys learning in its many forms, including through mentoring, teaching, leading workshops, and presenting in the US and abroad. She still can’t decide which she likes better: interpreting or dialoguing about interpreting.
