Ashley Camp, MA, NIC - Originally from Alberta, Canada, Ashley now calls Boise, Idaho home. She has worked as a professional ASL-English interpreter for the past eight years, gaining experience in a wide range of settings including education, religious services, theatre, and Video Relay Service (VRS). Ashley is now excited to be expanding her role in the field as she transitions into interpreter education.
A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado’s ASLEI program with an emphasis in Educational Interpreting, Ashley is passionate about supporting interpreters working in educational settings. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Interpreting Studies: Teaching Interpreting at Western Oregon University, further deepening her commitment to teaching, mentoring, and empowering emerging interpreters as they navigate this meaningful and nuanced area of the profession.
When she’s not working, you’ll likely find Ashley enjoying a good historical fiction novel, exploring new places, catching a theatre performance, or spending time with her loyal four-legged sidekick, Alfie.
