Undergraduate Degrees and Emphasis Areas

The School of Sport and Exercise Science offers undergraduate academic programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees in Sport and Exercise Science and Athletic Training.  The Sport and Exercise Science degree includes emphasis area options in Exercise Science, Physical Education K-12 Teaching, Sport Administration, Human Performance (coming Fall 2018), and Sports Coaching.  Minors are offered in Physical Education K-12 Teaching and Coaching.

Exercise Science

Graduates will be prepared to pursue enrollment in physical therapy, athletic training, occupational therapy, physician assistant, or other health related professional programs.

Programs within the Exercise Science emphasis:

Physical Education Teaching and Physical Activity Leadership

This professional teacher program prepares future physical educators to develop physically literate K-12 students through classroom and field-based experiences.

Programs within the Physical Education and Physical Activity Leadership emphasis:

Sport Administration

This program is designed to prepare graduates for careers by combining business principles and industry-specific aspects of managing collegiate, professional, or Olympic sport organizations with emphases on sport marketing, sport finance and economics, organizational behavior, along with event and facility management.

B.S. in Sport Administration
