Biography

My name is Shelby Hart, and I am a junior at the University of Northern Colorado. I am currently working toward the completion of two bachelor’s degrees, one in anthropology and another in history. I grew up in the small town of Wiggins, Colorado. My academic goals include a pursuit of a doctorate or master’s degree in museum studies and a certification in collections management and care. My passions include photography and history and have led me on a path toward becoming a collections curator. I have volunteered/interned at the Greeley History Museum for the duration of the 2016-2017 school year. I worked with two other students at UNC to build an exhibit on Southwest Native American pottery in collaboration with the Greeley History Museums. The exhibit titled “Made for the Tourist Trade” will stand in the Greeley museum from January 2017-December 2017.
