Data Request

The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE) provides data and responds to frequently asked questions about The University of Northern Colorado’s, faculty, staff, and academic programs. Use the one-stop shop menu at the top to access our information and reports.

Make a data request:

Use the IM&T help ticket form to request information not already available on the one-stop data shop website.  Once logged in, type OIRE as a keyword in the blue “What are you looking for?” box at the top of the page and press enter to view options related to submitting a service request or logging a ticket.

Review, Approval, and Fulfillment of the Data Request

All data requests directed to OIRE will be reviewed for compliance with federal and state regulations and university policies regarding proper use of institutional/student data. OIRE staff may need to follow-up with the requester for clarification, and the process might also involve consultation with other departments. In general, requests will be fulfilled within 10 business days after final approval. During peak reporting periods please allow at least 3 weeks for fulfillment. Data will typically be provided in an Excel spreadsheet, Word or PDF document.

Pursuant to the University of Northern Colorado’s Unit Data Guidelines (link to the document on the policy website here), files containing personally identifiable information related to students, faculty, or staff (unit-level records) cannot be provided except where noted. Aggregate data, reports, and data sets absent personally identifiable fields are not subject to FERPA regulations but should still be handled with care.
