Emergency Response Plan

Campus-Wide Emergency Plan

UNC has been working hard for some time to address comprehensive emergency response planning and preparedness measures.

Our current plan is web-based and we encourage our community to become familiar with it. You can find it online at www.unco.edu/police.

You may notice that there are pieces that are a bit general. This is intentional for a few reasons; one being that it is a guide that applies to a myriad of potential emergencies.

The UNC Emergency Response Team has gone through several “table top” exercises that tested their ability to respond to an emergency situation.

 All UNC campus building representatives have gone through specialized training in emergency response procedures.

 UNCPD and the office of Environmental Health and Safety continue to train faculty and staff on emergency response procedures.
