Education & Training

Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a staff counselor here at UNC. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Colorado followed by a Master of Arts in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver. I am currently working towards my Professional Counselor license.

Current Roles

I mostly practice individual and group therapy here at the center, with occasional campus community outreach.

Therapeutic & Supervision Approaches

I approach each client holistically, viewing and treating them as a whole person.  Drawing from many theoretical orientations including mindfulness-based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to best fit the client’s needs. Ultimately, I hope to work collaboratively with each client to help them overcome difficulties in their life and reach a deeper understanding of themselves.
