I completed my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, both right here at the University of Northern Colorado- Go Bears! I have had the privilege to serve clients in a variety of settings including community mental health, private practice, family medical practice, and university counseling center. I am trained in EMDR and continue to explore valuable trainings that benefit the clients I encounter. It is an honor to be a part of the UNC community supporting students and staff.
In addition to seeing clients individually, I spend much of my time in the case manager/community liaison role. After clients have their initial appointment, I am part of the team that helps navigate different resources available. I enjoy the time I get to spend creating relationships with on and off campus resources and referrals for our clients to access.
I work from a person-centered, trauma focused, and attachment style lens, while utilizing a skills-based approach when appropriate. I consider the counseling relationship as one of the most important parts of change for people on their healing journey. With me clients get a warm, nurturing, conversation-like experience. I believe we all have an intrinsic need for connection with others, and I will spend time with clients exploring how those relational needs from childhood and adulthood influence their current experiences. I trust that clients are the experts on their lives and work collaboratively with them so they can find healing and wholeness.

I am a Colorado native, and I adore this state tremendously. I enjoy being outside, reading a variety of different books, baking cookies, spending time with my family and friends, and working on projects/crafts.
