As a Program Assistant in the Provost’s Office, Riley provides support and policy information for the Office of Academic Affairs in academic assessment and academic compliance. She manages the web pages for the Academic Compliance, UNC-Self Study Higher Learning Commission, Faculty Senate, and Student Consumer Information sites. As the administrative assistant for the Faculty Senate, Lori is responsible for organization of the Faculty Senate committee meetings/minutes, elections, budget management, provision of records regarding Senate actions, and research of university policies.

After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, she worked in the Omaha Public School system, was Assistant Director of Sylvan Learning Center in Omaha, worked in commercial banking for ten years, and owned her medical transcriptionist business for 12 years before starting work at UNC.
