His research involves the development of new methods for the preparation of those molecules and the study of their interactions with biological systems. In particular, his research focuses on the design and study of anti-Type 1 diabetes and anti-cancer drugs.

Design, synthesis, and evaluation of compounds that interact with macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF). Development of new procedures to the preparation of existing antagonists of MIF. Application of antagonism to other diseases based on this inflammatory response.
