Reason for Joining Student Senate: I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself and where I could help others.
Goals for Student Senate: More opportunities for service and better mental health resources as we navigate going back to in person.
Involvement on Campus: I was a member of Air Force ROTC for my first two years of school, and I participated in multiple intramural sports.
Bio: My name is Christa Harvey, and I am from Colorado Springs, Colorado. I am a senior majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Psychology at the University of Northern Colorado. In my time at UNC I have participated in Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, intramural sports, and Student Senate as a Senator for the college of Natural and Health Sciences and as the 2022-2023 Student Trustee.
In addition to school and extracurriculars, I am a Certified Nursing Assistant and pick up travel assignments in northern Colorado with a staffing agency called Shiftkey. I am also a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, and I work for Banner Health Pediatrics. After graduation, I plan to take a gap year to build my resume further to apply to graduate school where I will study to become a Physicians Associate.”
