Performance emphases are available in flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, horn, trumpet, tenor trombone, bass trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion, violin, viola, violoncello, string bass, harp, keyboard, voice, and guitar.

M.M. in Instrumental Performance Concentration

The instrumental performance master’s degree requires 30 to 31 credits. It includes advanced coursework in music theory, music history, pedagogy, and scholarship. You’ll work closely with your faculty adviser to structure a course sequence that supports your academic and career objectives. The program concludes with a public recital, which may be accompanied by a correlative paper.
