Work side-by-side with award-winning finance experts at the only business college to earn the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award from the Office of the President of the United States. In the Finance emphasis of our Business Administration program, you’ll learn to help people and organizations to manage their finances while gaining real-world professional experience to jump-start your career. You’ll also be able to attain professional finance certifications including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certificate in Financial Management (CFM).

Degree Option

B.S. in Business Administration Finance

The Finance Concentration provides students with a thorough foundation in finance while also preparing graduates for a wide range of finance related careers or graduate studies. Students may elect a traditional finance curriculum or any one of the three curriculum tracks designed to prepare students for nationally recognized certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Certified in Financial Management (CFM).

Minor Options

Business Administration Minor

Gain diverse skills and knowledge in the fundamental areas of business including accounting, computer information systems, finance, management and marketing. The UNC’s Business Administration minor offers a valuable addition to your major area of study that will be an asset in virtually any career.

Minor Requirements

Business Administration Minor with Entrepreneurial Option

Get a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, marketing analysis and small business operations. You can add the entrepreneurial option to the Business Administration minor with six additional hours of study.

Global Business Minor

UNC's Global Business Minor is designed for students in Business Administration and wish to pursue an additional area of study in global business. Completion of the minor provides broad exposure to the global areas of business administration. These include at a minimum finance, economics, management and marketing. The minor is only open to students who major in Business Administration.
