Colorado STEM Teacher Preparation Symposium 2015

For the December 11, 2015 symposium organization, Lori Reinsvold and Rob Reinsvold of UNC will partner with Mike Taber of Colorado College (CC). The symposium will take place on CC’s campus, Palmer Hall (https://www.coloradocollege.edu/basics/campus/map/), in Colorado Springs.

 by December 7, 2015.  We have 100 seats, so register early.

This year’s symposium will be opened by Lt. Governor Garcia, and includes a keynote address by Dr. Mary Gromko, President-Elect of NSTA.  We will also 1) provide examples of how IHEs integrate STEM pedagogy in their pre-service programs, 2) provide a panel of faculty and staff from IHEs and government agencies to discuss a model for Colorado endorsement/leadership in STEM teaching and learning to elevate the conversation of STEM integration, and, 3) invite teacher preparation programs to present posters on how they support pre-service teachers to build their understanding and practices to integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Breakfast and lunch will be served and the presentations begin at 8:30 am and end at 2:30 pm.
