The UNCO McNair Experience
The Ronald E. McNair Scholars Research Program at the University of Northern Colorado fosters a supportive academic community that introduces students to the value of research and scholarship. The program facilitates the development of strong professional relationships between students and faculty mentors, which can extend into graduate studies. To achieve these objectives, the Scholars
- Conduct research

- Take coursework (6 - 8 credits) to introduce you to research and graduate applications

Program Timeline
Students start the McNair Scholars Research Program in their second or third year of undergraduate studies. Our program is designed to take two years to complete but can be completed in one year by motivated students. Throughout this program, students will take courses with our program, including summer research courses their first summer. Attached is an outline of our program timeline for more information.
