Biography

My name is Ashley Bautista, and I am a senior here at UNC. I am originally from California, then moved to Colorado Springs and made my way up to Greeley for college. I am majoring in Audiology and Speech Language Sciences, hoping to further my study in audiology. My future goals are to become a Pediatric Audiologist and work in a hospital or private practice. I also hope to use my background in American Sign Language to connect more with my clients and parents. I plan on getting my Doctorate of Audiology within the next couple of years. I am currently researching with Dr. Meinke and Dr. Finan in hopes to find a relationship between ambient noise levels and vocal effort when working as a barista. Outside of my studies I love to be outdoors. I recently climbed my 7th fourteener in two months, and hope to keep adding to my list.  I am extremely blessed to be a part of the McNair program, and can’t wait to see where this career takes me.
