Melissa Has been interpreting since 2003 in a variety of settings and currently works as a Community Interpreter mainly. She specializes in mental health and legal work where she has completed over 400 hours of mental health and legal training including Project CLIMB, and Mental Health Interpreter Training and certification process. Melissa currently works through Washington Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth (CDHY) as a mentor for K-12 interpreters who are striving to meet the required standards for the EIPA in Washington State andfinds great satisfaction in this work. Additionally, Melissa makes time for joy by doing metal and resin art, making herbal remedies, camping, and traveling.
