Hello! I'm Romi, a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at the Wright Institute, and I’m thrilled to be completing my internship at the Colorado Center for Assessment and Counseling. My clinical interests center around supporting youth and their families across school, hospital, and community mental health settings. I’m passionate about working within family systems to help each member better understand their strengths and areas for growth. I especially enjoy collaborating with young people to empower them with insight into how their unique minds work. In therapy, I work from an attachment-based framework and integrate cognitive-behavioral interventions to support clients in developing both insight and practical tools. I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel seen and supported.
I have a strong interest in psychological assessment, particularly in exploring neurodivergence. My research has focused on how queer, autistic adults can be better supported throughout the assessment process—an area I care about deeply. I believe assessment can be inherently therapeutic, and I bring that ethos into all aspects of my clinical work. Outside of therapy and assessment, I love spending time outdoors with my family and our dog. I also enjoy cooking, reading, and curling up with a warm beverage whenever I can.
