    Frequently Asked Final Exam Questions

Q: When are final exam search results available for the current semester?

A: The final exam schedules are made available in the search feature after the fifth week of class for both fall and spring semesters. This is because the process to place the final exams in classrooms doesn’t occur until the fourth week of classes. Please note that there is no set final exam schedule for the summer semester or for most classes built outside the full part of term window in Spring or Fall semesters.

Q: Why didn’t the final exam search find my class?

A: Final exams that were not placed by the Office of the Registrar will not populate in searches. Such courses are practicums, distance delivery/online, off-campus classes, etc. If your search did not yield any results, please get the final exam information from your instructor.

Another possible reason would be that the incorrect course number or section might have been entered. Tip: Entering just a subject like "MATH" will yield the listings for all Math classes. After finding the class you are looking for, you can then narrow the search by entering that CRN in the search bar. The search is not case sensitive. Again, if the search doesn’t yield any results, please get the final exam information from your instructor.

Q: My class has met in the same room all semester. Why is the final exam scheduled in a different room?

A: Classes are only moved to a different location when the original room is not available. This mainly occurs with classes that only meet once a week because they share an exam time block with another once-a-week class. For example: A class that only meets on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. is going to have a coinciding final exam time with a class that only meets on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the same room. Both classes will not be able to meet for a final exam in the same room at the same time, so one of the final exams will have to be moved to another location.

Q: Why do two of my classes have the final exam at the same time?

A: This mainly occurs with classes that only meet once a week because they share an exam time block with another once-a-week class. For example: A class that only meets on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. is going to have a coinciding final exam time with a class that only meets on Thursday at 11 a.m. In the event you have two final exams scheduled at the same time, please work with one of the instructors to take their final exam at a different time.

Final Exam Search Calendar

Spring 2024 Final Exam Week is April 29-May 3

Final Exam Searches become available after the fifth week of classes for the fall and spring semesters. All full-term courses should meet through finals week. If the course does not appear in your search, does not have a final exam scheduled, or the results are not as you expected; please clarify the day, time, and location with your instructor

Use the search feature below to first find the course. Searches can be done by instructor name, CRN, or subject and course. For example:

  • "Smith" can be entered to find all courses taught by Professor Smith
  • The Course Registration Number such as “13380” can be entered to find the course assigned that CRN. (This search produces the most targeted results).
  • A course subject, number, and section (ANT 110 001) can also be entered.

The search will display all active occurrences of that course per month. To view the Final Exam day, time, and location; scroll to the bottom of the search result, or go straight to that entry by selecting May (for the Spring semester) and December (for the Fall semester) from the month options above the search field.

Use the search below to find a final exam.
If in doubt, check with your instructor.
