Director of Admissions

Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, I have been a part of the UNC community since 2002. I really feel that UNC is a great fit for students who desire to have the experiences and opportunities of a large campus but the community and feel of a smaller University. When away from campus, I spend most of my time with my wife and three kids usually rooting on youth sports. I enjoy being the primary recruiter and supporter for students from the beautiful state of Hawai'i.

I graduated from UNC with my Bachelor’s degree in History in 2014. During my undergraduate career, I worked as a Student Ambassador for UNC which initially sparked my interest in working with prospective students. I am passionate about helping students navigate their way through high school in order to excel in the next step of their lives!

While I’m away from my office, I enjoy skiing, hiking, reading and going on frequent outings to Chick-fil-A. I am also currently a graduate student pursuing my Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership. I am very proud to call UNC my home!

What is your favorite spot in Greeley? The bench behind the Visitor's Center where my husband proposed (awe). Also, I love going to Bittersweet Park to hang out with my German Shepherd puppy!

When you visit Greeley, be sure to... Take a tour of UNC! After your tour, stick around to grab lunch or dinner downtown at Right Coast Pizza or The Rio.

What's an experience students shouldn't miss on campus? Every student should attend at least one theater performance and one athletic event. We have Broadway-quality shows and Division 1 athletics so both should definitely be a part of your college experience!

Favorite fictional bear? Baloo from The Jungle Book

I was also involved in Greek Life as a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority and spent much of my free time participating in campus events. As an Admission Counselor, I enjoy sharing my experience and helping students discover the many opportunities available at UNC. When I am not recruiting, I spend my time traveling the world and enjoying all the outdoor goodness Colorado has to offer.

Originally from Gilbert, Arizona, I came to UNC as a student and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Theatre Arts. During my time here, I fell in love with this campus and it’s community. UNC is my home away from home, and my passion is to help other students find their sense of community and belonging on campus. When I am not at my desk or traveling to different schools, I love binge watching TV shows. My favorites right now are 30 Rock, Star Trek and Game of Thrones.

Born and raised in East Central Mississippi, I have made Colorado and UNC my home since 2016! After almost five years out of the classroom, I will be returning as a graduate student studying Sport Administration and will finally become a true Bear! I honestly believe that students from every walk of life can find their place here on campus and in Greeley! On campus, I am the Coordinator of Recruitment for Admissions Events which allows me to plan our large-scale on-campus events as well as our off-campus events! In addition to that, I also get to recruit many out-of-state areas including the midwest, northeast and south!

Something that surprises people about me? I am a first-degree black belt in tae-kwon-do and started competing at the age of 6!

Favorite UNC fact: Being a Harry Potter nerd, I love that UNC has a club quidditch team who finished 5th in the nation in 2017!

Favorite fictional bear: Smokey the Bear! I even have a picture with him at a Christmas parade from when I was younger!

When I'm not in the office, you can find me: kayaking, skiing, reading a dystopian novel or finding an adventure with my terrier, Finley!

Currently binging on Netflix/Hulu:The Walking Dead, Grey's Anatomy and Nashville

Dylan Sanchez

Admission Counselor

I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in May of 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Throughout my undergraduate career, I worked as the editor of the UNC Mirror student newspaper. I got to work with all of UNC’s 19 Division-I athletic teams and get involved on campus. I also worked on campus as a student ambassador, and that is what led me to become an admission counselor. I love getting to help prospective students find their own path and showing them what UNC has to offer.

When I’m away from campus, I spend a lot of time either watching or attending sports events. You will also find me up in the Rocky Mountains snowboarding and hiking.
