Emmy Award-Winner and Teacher Trainer Steve Spangler as Keynote Speaker for UNC's 2024 Future Teacher Conference

University of Northern Colorado is excited to announce Steve Spangler as the 2024 keynote speaker for the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences’ Future Teacher Conference, Feb. 2, 2024. 

Spangler is an Emmy-award winning science teacher and trainer who was named as one of Time magazine’s “Most Influential People of the Year.” His talk, “Best Day Ever – the Art & Science of creating Unforgettable Learning Experiences,” stems from his time spent in the classroom engaging students through experiments that would fizz, pop and explode.  

Spangler is the STEM Educator in Residence at High Point University. He is a STEM influencer for household brands including Mentos, Arm & Hammer, National Geographic and more, with more than 1 billion views on social media.  

The Future Teacher Conference and Rural Future Teacher Summit are annual events hosted by UNC to bring together high school and community college students interested in teaching with UNC faculty, student teachers and veteran teachers from around the state to learn more about careers in education, the latest insights from teachers and trending topics from the classroom.
