Course of Study (30-34 Credit Hours)

Content coursework is completed in five terms (approximately 20 months).

• Comprehensive Exam Option (30 credit hours): if you choose this option you can take the exam at the end of the fifth term, or take the exam the following term.
• Thesis Option (34 credit hours): you will finish the program in two years (six terms).

Tailor your remaining content coursework to your interests. You can choose to complete all courses from either focus area, or mix coursework from both to fit your career goals.

Comprehensive Exam Option

In lieu of a master's thesis, students can take a comprehensive written exam either in their final semester of coursework or the following semester.

Thesis Option

Students can complete the program through development of a thesis via enrollment in TIP 699 Master's Thesis (4)
