Enrollment and Registration Information
UNC offers a winter interim session which runs between fall and spring semesters. Current UNC students will be limited to the following:
- You may take up to four (4) credit hours during the Interim Session. No overloads will be permitted.
- If you are on academic probation then you may not enroll in the Interim Session.
Do it early! Registration for the Interim Session opens October 2nd, 2017.
Many courses are contingent upon sufficient enrollment. Register for classes as early as possible to increase the likelihood of getting the class you want. Course cancellations generally are announced on or before the first day of class and efforts are made to notify you before the class starts.
You may register for your Interim class through URSA.
If you have not attended UNC since Fall 2016, please complete the Student Information Form to reactivate your student status. Once you submit the completed form, you will be notified by email with instructions for accessing URSA so you can register. Please allow 24 hours for processing.
If you have not been admitted to UNC, or you are awaiting admission to the graduate school and would like to take a class as a non-degree seeking student, you may do so by submitting the Student Information Form. Once you submit the completed form, you will be notified by email with instructions for accessing URSA so you can register. Please allow 24 hours for processing.
You may register for up to four credit hours. No exceptions to the four credit limit will be accepted.
The Drop Deadline occurs at 15% of the class time. You may drop individual classes during the Drop Period without charge. For specific Drop Deadlines access the Office of the Registrar's website. If you are dropping your only class, you must contact the Office of the Registrar at 970-351-2231.
Withdrawing from Courses
The individual class withdrawal deadline occurs at 50% of the class time. You may withdraw from an individual class by phone or in person by contacting the Office of the Registrar at 970-351-2231 or firstname.lastname@example.org. You must contact us no later than 5:00 pm on the day of the withdrawal deadline in order to be processed.
Withdrawal requests received after the deadline will not be processed. Withdrawn classes show up on your transcripts but do not affect your GPA. You will be responsible for tuition charges for all withdrawn classes
