Undergraduate Programs

The UNC School of Mathematical Sciences offers a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics in three different emphasis areas: a Secondary Teaching emphasis, a Liberal Arts Emphasis, and an Applied Mathematics emphasis, which includes a choice of concentrations in Applied Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science.

We offer minors in Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Mathematics with a Liberal Arts emphasis, and Mathematics with a Secondary Teaching emphasis.   UNC students can also major in the Interdisciplinary Studies Elementary Teaching (ISET) program, which is directed towards prospective elementary school teachers, with a concentration in mathematics.
