Pat Varney

Pat was elected to the Foundation Board of Directors in August 2021 and serves as a member of the Nominating & Governance Committee.

Patrick Varney has been a board member of The University of Northern Colorado Foundation since 2021.  Patrick is part of the Nominating and Governance Committee.  He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1999 with a degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance.  He has worked for Bank of Colorado, a privately owned bank for over 22 years.  Currently, he serves as the President of the bank’s Investment Services division while also advising clients on overall financial planning. 

Patrick has been married to his wife Nicole for 22 years and they are parents to 3 teenage boys whom they enjoy spending quality time with.  Patrick and Nicole are strong believer’s in giving back to their community and church.  In the past, Patrick has served on the finance committee for Our Lady of the Valley Catholic church, Board President for the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, Board President for the Windsor Optimist Club, as well as a board member of the Community Foundation of Weld County-Windsor.  While currently serving on the board for The University of Northern Colorado Foundation, Patrick is also on the board of Catholic Charities-Archdiocese of Denver.  In his free time, he enjoys his family, golf, sports, and hunting upland birds and waterfowl.
