On Being a Bear

Nate joined the UNC team in 2021, bringing strong experience in higher education and intercollegiate athletics, two important areas that he connects in order to increase philanthropic support for UNC Athletics. As Associate Director of Development, Nate leads Blue and Gold solicitations for 13 sport-specific fundraising clubs and athletic fundraising events to include Women’s Walk and the Blue and Gold Golf Tournament.

Prior to UNC, Nate held professional roles at Southeast Missouri State, University of Florida Hillel, University of Florida, Cornell University and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Having seen and be a part of many successful development operations, Nate understands the creativity and passion involved in engaging and soliciting alumni, donors and community members. As a member of the development team, he applies his past experience to advance UNC’s commitment to student success in the classroom and in competition.
