Research interests include: Strong-field laser-matter interactions, ultrafast laser science, adaptive beam shaping, numerical modeling of atoms in strong fields, super-continuum generation in fibers,optical vortex generation, ion spectrometer design, high-speed imaging and photography, novel imaging techniques.
Experience includes a postdoctoral appointment at Brookhaven National Laboratory and a faculty position at the College of William & Mary.
Dr. Chaloupka has taught at UNC since 2009.
